Breaking HBO TV Show News of the Day: HBO announced today that it will be picking up Laura Dern and Mike White’s critically acclaimed dramedy series Enlightened for a second season.
In the same breath, HBO was the bearer of bad news for fans of Hung, Bored to Death, and How to Make It in America — all three of which were canceled.
Both Hung and Bored To Death lasted three seasons; How To Make It in America ends its run after only two.
In addition to giving the low-rated-but-highly-praised Enlightened another shot, HBO recently picked up a slew of new shows to accompany the anticipated mid-season returns of Eastbound & Down and The Life and Times of Tim.
Armando Ianucci’s Veep, Lena Dunham’s Girls, Ricky Gervais & Stephen Merchant’s Life’s Too Short, and Chris Lilley’s Angry Boys are all set to begin airing next year.

Bullshit. How To Make It in America is cancelled and this piece of festering shit Enlightened gets picked up? and Bored to Death. HBO takin a big dump on my viewing loyalty.
